Here's what Charlie said: "The Bush Doctrine, as I understand it, is that we have the right of anticipatory self-defense; that we have the right to a preemptive strike against any other country that we think is going to attack us."orry, Charlie. That's wrong. Do your homework.
You're either with us or you're with the terrorists. That's the Bush Doctrine. Necessary if we're to "rid this world of Islamic extremism" that has made this date an extremely "tragic" Never Forget/Never Forgive one.
Preemptive strikes to thwart attacks, that's the Common Sense Doctrine. It's also known as the highest responsibility of every president, and has been held as such by every president from George Washington to George Bush John McCain, and is one we as a people have ordained will continue to be so held by every president after John McCain.
Look it up. It's in that obscure document that liberals like you rarely if ever read, known as the United States Constitution: "The United States... shall protect each of (the States in this Union) against Invasion," including attacks that invade or threaten to invade on our domestic tranquility, general welfare, or blessed liberties; and since Peace Corps Obambi Youths™ or "communiSty organizers" are wholly incapable of providing for that common defense, "The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States."
As Governor Sarah Palin told you today, Charlie, "if there is legitimate and enough intelligence that tells us that a strike is imminent against the American people, we have every right to defend our country. In fact, the President has the obligation, the duty to defend."
Not surprising you wouldn't know that, Charlie.
