The governments of Lebanon and Israel will cooperate with that force once your troops arrive on Lebanese soil. At that moment — and not one second before — Israel has a real incentive to pull back and let you take over the job of disarming and disbanding the Hezbarbarians.

This is where the meatgrinder part comes in. Those rabid dogs now firing missiles at civilians' homes in northern Israel from ones in southern Lebanon aren't going to stop just because you've arrived. They're crazed enough to even turn some of their launchers towards you. So be prepared to engage them in combat. Expect these islaminal jihadists to continue following their normal Human Shield Tactic as well, intentionally making civilian casualties unavoidable.

If, with any extraordinary luck, you're able to dislodge and scatter most Hezboarrah cowards out from behind little girls' skirts and their other regular hiding places, you'll have to remain vigilant. You then are what stands in their way of murdering more Jews. That makes you their primary target. Thus getting you to cut and run will be their immediate goal.

Enter the Dozen Virgins Sixpack Brigade. Your barracks, your patrols, your supply routes are each now every demented martyr's ticket to paradise. A whole section of Lebanon brimming with infidels is going to attract him like lice to his beard.

Should you make it this far you won't be hearing from me any taunts of quagmire! or French Viet Nam 2.0 because I'll still be much too gobsmacked that you've even agreed to place your troops in any such harm's way.

Don't feel bad. The same would happen more or less to any force, France-led multinational or Israeli, respectively.
